The HANDS Team Training Satisfaction Survey is administered following each training session, both school visits and virtual calls, to systematically capture staff perceptions of training quality, relevance, and effectiveness. At KCARC, survey results from December 2024 through March 2025 indicate consistently positive experiences across key areas of the HANDS Learning Curriculum.
Of the 18 questions rated on a 5-point scale, the highest score was achieved on Q7 (Knowledge of staff) and Q16 (Trainers were nonjudgmental regarding my implementation skills), each with an impressive 4.7 average, highlighting staff appreciation for trainers’ expertise and supportive approach. Strong scores were also observed for Q3, Q4, Q8, Q9, Q12, Q13, Q15, and Q17, with ratings between 4.4 and 4.5, underscoring participants’ perception of the training as informative, well-delivered, and relevant to their needs.
Most other items maintained solid ratings in the 4.1 to 4.4 range, reinforcing that staff found the sessions effective overall. The primary area with room for continued enhancement was Q5 (I learned new information as a result of the service), which scored 3.6, and Q6 (My knowledge of the topic increased), at 3.8. These indicate opportunities to introduce more novel or advanced content to better engage and challenge participants.
These satisfaction trends affirm KCARC’s commitment to providing impactful training experiences while highlighting specific opportunities for improvement. Feedback from these surveys enables the HANDS team to celebrate successes and make data-driven adjustments to curriculum content, delivery methods, and support strategies, ensuring each training session maximizes value for staff and, ultimately, benefits the students they serve.
